Divine Insight: By Humphrey Mtandwa
A group of scientists took a family of mice and began an experiment in which they would electrify them but just before they electrified them, they played a specific sound from a bell. They did this for some time.
They repeated this process for three generations of those same mice and then it was stopped on the 4th generation. The scientists had noticed each time the mice would hear the sound of the bell they would jump in fear. The mice associated the sound of the bell with the pain they would feel after the bell was rung.
Even if they were not electrified they associated the sound with the shock which caused the mice to be fearful of the sound. So the scientists skipped a generation of mice. They did not shock them with electricity or ring the bell. But after that generation had given birth they separated the baby mice and played that bell to them.
Strangely the baby mice which had not heard the sound before acted in the same way those in the first generation did whenever the bell rang. It seemed as if fear of that bell had somehow been passed on to them. The scientists just rang the bell but the mice now associated the sound with the pain though they had never been stung before.
When studying on curses and demons you discover that a demon is not passed from father to son but the parents pass on genes and with the genes their character. The character then attracts the demons. A demon can torment a father and his children for several generations. But note that a demon cannot be passed on so how then can a demon torment several generations? What is causing it to continue having authority over that family is because the father passes on his character to his seed and how that specific character attracts specific types of demons.
So at times we spend time trying to cast out a demon when we should focus on the character. Romans 12:2 (KJV) And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Deliverance starts the day you renew your mind. I have noticed that those that are delivered from demonic oppression seem to be the ones being delivered always, the reason is because though a demon is cast out of them, if the mind is not renewed the demon goes out and it comes back because what attracted it in the first place will still attract it again. Unless the mind is renewed, a person remains open for demonic manipulation.

Those mice, though they had not heard the bell before, the fear of the sound was programmed into them. What causes a demon to continue attacking a family is the mindset that has been passed on from the parents to their children. The day you renew your mind is the day you walk away from any form of demonic oppression. Remember a demon can not be passed on from one family member to another, but one has to do something to attract the demon. Yes generational curses are real, but what causes them to affect specific individuals within a family is because of how one thinks. Don’t allow your heart to be fertile ground for demons to manifest from by not dealing with the mindset which is acting as a doorway for demonic entry and oppression. Freedom starts the day you allow God to shift your mind. God bless you.
