Victoria Falls-based Afro-fusion storyteller JustLeo has released a soul-stirring new single titled Kusasa.
Kusasa, which translates to “tomorrow”, is a three-step house anthem centered on hope, resilience, and new beginnings. Rooted in the rich musical traditions of Southern Africa, JustLeo describes the track as “more than a song; it is a promise”.
By blending emotive, deeply personal vocals with rhythmic Afro-fusion production, Kusasa moves seamlessly between intimacy and expansiveness.
The track captures the universal struggle of pushing through uncertainty while holding onto the belief that a better tomorrow is always possible.
With its warm melodies and heartfelt delivery, the single serves as a soundtrack for personal growth, healing and heritage.
Performed alongside the Simuniziva Band, Kusasa continues JustLeo’s mission of honouring African linguistic heritage.
By drawing on indigenous languages and traditional rhythms, she bridges generations — amplifying the voices of today’s youth while paying tribute to the elders whose stories shaped the sound of Zimbabwe.
“Every song I write is a love letter to my people,” JustLeo shares.

“Kusasa is my reminder to all of us that healing is possible, that heritage is powerful, and that no voice, no matter how small, should ever be forgotten.”
Kusasa follows JustLeo’s celebrated cultural tribute, KUMMA'wa (East), featuring Djembe Monks.
It is part of a series of upcoming releases cementing her place as one of Southern Africa’s most compelling emerging voices.
JustLeo is doing more than making music; she is preserving culture, documenting pain, and amplifying hope for a new generation.
