ZIMBABWE football giants Highlanders have added another major event to their centenary celebrations after unveiling the Highlanders Centenary Charity Golf Classic set for Bulawayo Country Club on August 14.
In a statement released on the club’s official website, Highlanders said the golf tournament was part of activities lined up to celebrate the club’s historic 100-year milestone.
“As part of the club’s historic 100-year celebrations, Highlanders Football Club has announced the Highlanders Centenary Charity Golf Classic, set to take place on Friday, 14 August 2026 at the prestigious Bulawayo Country Club,” the club said.
The tournament is expected to attract golfers, corporates, supporters and stakeholders from across the country as Bosso continue with celebrations that have dominated the football landscape this year.
According to the club, the tournament will tee off at 7:30am and will be played in two formats, with four-ball teams pegged at US$400 per team, while individual entries will cost US$100.
“All proceeds from the tournament will go towards supporting Bosso community initiatives as the club continues to celebrate 100 years of heritage, unity, and excellence,” Highlanders said.
The club also revealed that participants would attend a prize-giving ceremony later in the evening while a gala dinner would be held at Holiday Inn Bulawayo on the eve of the tournament.
The Centenary Charity Golf Classic becomes the latest event on the Bosso100 calendar as Highlanders continue rolling out activities to mark a century of existence.
