Rape
A 36-year-old man has been remanded in custody by Harare magistrate Marehwanazvo Gofa on charges of raping his three-year-old stepdaughter.
The accused from the Gazebo area in the capital, who cannot be identified to protect the victim, was advised to approach the High Court for bail since he is facing a serious offence. Prosecutors alleged that on November 15, 2025 the victim's mother noticed that her daughter had rash on her private parts while she was bathing her.
Upon inquiry, her daughter revealed that she was sexually abused by her stepfather without protection.
The matter was reported to the police leading to the man’s arrest.
