A Plumtree teenager alleged stabbed a man to death at a party in the border town following a dispute over a girlfriend.
Nature Ngwenya (18) appeared before at the Plumtree magistrates’ court last week facing a murder charge.
Ngwenya was not asked to plead to the charge and was remanded in custody to October 2.
Prosecutors alleged that on September 18 last year the suspect attended a party in Plumtree and started drinking beer with other people.
Ngwenya saw the now deceased Njabulo Ncube drinking and dancing to music.
Ncube picked a girl at the party and started dancing with her and Ngwenya claimed she was his lover.
He dragged Ncube for a distance before stabbing him.
