Mohamed Mussa loses US$25k to employees

The complainant is Mohamed Mussa Wholesalers represented by Tawanda Shereni, the loss control officer. 

TWO employees of Mohamed Mussa Wholesalers appeared before magistrate Dennis Mangosi charged with theft of US$25 000.

Jeremiah Kwenda (48) who was employed as a supervisor and Phineas Moyo (41), a dispatcher, were remanded in custody to today for bail application.

The complainant is Mohamed Mussa Wholesalers represented by Tawanda Shereni, the loss control officer. 

State prosecutor Ruvimbo Matyatya alleged that on December 21 at around 5pm, the suspects connived with their accomplice Chamunorwa Muvuti and went to the complainant’s office and  stole a safe containing US$25 000.

Muvuti is still at large.

On December 22, at around 0800hrs the complainant reported for duty and discovered the theft  that was captured on CCTV.

A police report was filed at Harare Central Police Station and the duo was arrested by detectives from CID Stores and Business. 

Total value stolen is US$25 000 and nothing was recovered.
