Renowned construction executive and entrepreneur Christopher Tafadzwa Togaraseyi has been appointed president of the Zimbabwe CEOs Network at the organisation’s annual conference held in Victoria Falls from June 10 to 13.

Togaraseyi, the founder and chief executive officer of Togaraseyi Projects, takes over the leadership of the influential business body after establishing himself as one of Zimbabwe’s leading figures in the design and construction industry.

Founded in 2011, Togaraseyi Projects has grown into one of the country's most respected construction and design firms, earning recognition for delivering durable infrastructure solutions while embracing innovation and modern standards in the built environment.

The company has steadily expanded its footprint beyond Zimbabwe and has won more than 25 local and international awards for excellence in construction, project delivery and innovation.

"We are fast becoming the face of premium construction services provision and we are proud to have built a solid and respected brand that is making an indelible niche in the industry," Togaraseyi said in a recent interview.

His appointment to lead the Zimbabwe CEOs Network is widely viewed as recognition of his entrepreneurial success and commitment to business excellence.

Accepting the new role, Togaraseyi said he was eager to use the platform to strengthen collaboration within the country's corporate sector and position Zimbabwean businesses for regional and global competitiveness.

"I am deeply honoured by the confidence that fellow business leaders have placed in me,” he said.

“The Zimbabwe CEOs Network has a critical role to play in shaping the future of our economy by fostering collaboration, innovation and ethical leadership across all sector.

“My vision is to transform the network into a dynamic platform that empowers business executives, nurtures the next generation of entrepreneurs and champions home-grown enterprises capable of competing on the regional and global stage.”

He said his administration would prioritise stronger partnerships between the private sector, government and development partners to unlock investment opportunities and accelerate economic growth.

Togaraseyi added that his own entrepreneurial journey had shaped his leadership philosophy.

“Growing Togaraseyi Projects from a start-up into a multi-award-winning construction and design company has taught me that success comes from collaboration, integrity and an unwavering commitment to quality,” he said.

”I intend to bring those same values to the Zimbabwe CEOs Network as we work to inspire confidence in Zimbabwean business and create lasting value for our communities and the nation at large.”

His appointment comes on the back of a string of local and international accolades.

Recently, he received the Community Impact Construction and Design Innovation Award at the Community Builders in Africa Awards, while he was also honoured with the Global Excellence Outstanding Leadership in Infrastructure and Enterprise Award by the Leaders Without Borders Development Centre in the United Kingdom.

Togaraseyi Projects was also recognised as an Emerging Global Business for its transformative impact across Africa through high-quality design and construction project delivery.

Togaraseyi said the international recognition reflects the potential of Zimbabwean enterprises to excel on the global stage, a conviction he now hopes to translate into a broader vision for the country's business community through his new role at the Zimbabwe CEOs Network.
