WARRIORS defender Jordan Zemura says he remains fully focused on helping Bournemouth survive relegation from the Premier League despite the speculation surrounding his own future on the south coast.
Zemura is currently into the last three months of his contract at Bournemouth despite having been one of the club’s leading lights in the Premier League this season.
Reports earlier in the season revealed that the gifted left-back is one of the lowest paid players in the Premier League.
The 23-year-old Zimbabwe international’s contract situation has led to fears amongst the club’s fans that he could be leaving the club when his contract expires at the end of the season.
Zemura’s housemate and fellow starlet Jaidon Anthony recently signed a new deal, putting further pressure on both Bournemouth and Zemura to finalise terms.
Although the player remains hopeful that a solution would soon be found, he says his immediate focus remains on doing well for the club on the football pitch.
Zemura told the Bournemouth Daily Echo on Thursday: “Firstly, congratulations to Jaidon, buzzing for him. Hopefully something can get sorted.”
Asked if he was focusing on his football, Zemura replied: “Yeah, definitely.

“For me, I think the infatuation I have for the club is obviously seen.
“Every game I come out and give my all and it's something that, contracts, it's not an easy thing.
“It takes time to work out.
“So I just got to leave it to my agents and leave it to the club to resolve.”
Zemura enjoyed a breakthrough campaign at the Vitality Stadium last term, featuring 33 times and making the left-back spot his own as he helped his side win promotion back to the Premier League.
He has further cemented his position as first-choice left-back whilst making the step-up to the top-flight, featuring in 19 of Cherries’ 26 league games so far this season.
After a heart-breaking defeat in the dying embers of their last game against league leaders Arsenal, Zemura’s Bournemouth currently are at the bottom of the Premier League.
It doesn’t get any easier for the Cherries in their survival bid as they face a litmus test against a resurgent Liverpool in today’s early kickoff in the Premier League.
Bournemouth were at the receiving end of a 9-0 hammering when the two sides met in the reverse fixture at Anfield six months ago.
However, just six points separate Bournemouth from 15th placed Leicester City, meaning there are six teams threatened by relegation in the final 12 games of the campaign.
