Sunday Word: Expand and dominate

The word of God says, my people perish because of lack of knowledge, Hosea 4:6. Knowledge is power

Shalom Shalom. Here is another chance that God has given us to grow and expand ourselves in His Word. An opportunity to increase our knowledge. The word of God says, my people perish because of lack of knowledge, Hosea 4:6. Knowledge is power. Knowledge is expansion. Knowledge is liberating. We continue today. Sharing the word of God by His grace. Hoping it will help us in our discos on different Bible topics.

Psalm 119:11 (KJV)

  1. Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. This scripture opens for us today by showing us the importance of the word of God in helping us to overcome sin. It points us to the heart as a source of good and evil. The fact the word is to be hidden in the heart in order to avoid sin means the heart is a very important part for this victory. Mathew 12: 34 — 40 clearly states that most of the things we say are from the heart. If you spend most of your time harboring evil, you will speak evil. So keeping the word of God in your heart will help you to stand up against sin. Today I implore you to read the word of God. Study the word of God so that you may not sin against God.

 Job 4:4 (KJV)

  1. Thy words have upholden him that was falling, and thou hast strengthened the feeble knees. Read and study the word of God as a source of strength in time of weakness. In times of temptation, when sin is lingering around, you need the word of God to strengthen you. So many of us have passed through trying times and situations. We have gone through painful and at times degrading situations. Many have backslidden, many have lost their lives. But today I have brought to you the solution. Ready and keep the word of God in your heart it will uphold you and give you strength when you are weak.

Psalm 119:105 (KJV)

  1. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. Remember we were discussing about honoring and supporting our spiritual leaders. It is because they lead us to understand the word of God. They help us to interpret the scriptures as Holy Spirit leads them. We need the word of God so that we have a clear direction in our walk with Christ. The word of God will direct your feet so that you will not stumble. If you need direction, if you want to want to walk in the right path, study the word of God. Most get lost in their Christian walk because the lack the word of God. Some get entangled in wrong company because they lacked the word of God as a defense.

Luke 4:8-12 (KJV)

  1. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
  2. And he brought him to Jerusalem, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, if thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence:
  3. for it is written, He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee:
  4. And in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.
  5. And Jesus answering said unto him, it is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. Here is a very good example of the importance of keeping the word of God in our hearts. Jesus had gone for prayer and fasting. However towards the end of His program, the devil came to tempt Him. Jesus defended Himself with the word of God, but the devil countered with the word of God as well. It is crucial to note that most people are diverted by those who use the word of God as well. If you lack the understanding of the word of God, you will be tossed in every direction by any kind of doctrine. I urge you to remember what your leader have taught you. I urge you to keep the word of God in your hearts like Jesus. He stood His ground with the word of God to overcome the devil. You can also do it. It is possible.

Acts 6:7 (NIV)

  1. So the word of God spread. The number of disciples in Jerusalem increased rapidly, and a large number of priests became obedient to the faith. It means the word of God dominated and expanded. It helped the Apostles with soul winning. If you want to win the souls of those who are lost, share the word of God with them. You must know the word and how to share it with others. The word of God needs to be preached to all the people of the earth. In this scripture many people came to Christ when they heard the word of God. You cannot give what you don’t have. You can only harvest oranges from an orange tree not paw paws. The effectiveness of your ministry is centered on your knowledge of the word of God. In order to spread the word of God you must know the word of God.

Hebrews 13:7 (NIV)

  1. Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith. Christianity is a way of life that needs to be followed as a lifestyle. Our Christian leaders are the people we follow as we follow Christ. It is very crucial at this point to point that some leaders got lost on the way like Alexander and team. Let us remember our leaders who taught us the word of God. The more we study the word of God, the more we will be able to consider our leaders way of life. We will be able to see if they are getting lost. Some will teach heresy. Without the word of God most will likely get lost and lose their salvation

Reading and studying the word of God gives us knowledge thereby empowering us. Hosea 4 v 6 again tells us that to avoid perishing or being manipulated we need to acquire knowledge of the word of God. With the word of God we will be able to dominate and expand the Kingdom of God. Wherever you are, study the word of God. Keep it in your heart. Share the knowledge of the scriptures in order to expand and dominate. Be empowered See you next week
