NetOne, ex-CEO residence case postponed

Lazarus Muchenje

HIGH Court judge Justice Samuel Deme has postponed a matter where NetOne and its former chief executive officer (CEO) Lazarus Muchenje are locked in a legal battle over a residence that the latter is occupying.

Justice Deme postponed the matter to November 24, 2022, for hearing.

NetOne is applying for a condonation.

The network provider dragged its former CEO to court seeking to evict him from the Borrowdale residence because he had ceased to be its employee.

Muchenje occupies the Borrowdale residence, which he allegedly obtained through a lease agreement with Paradzai Chakona who representedthe mobile operator, allegedly without the approval of the board.

Justice Deme postponed the hearing after NetOne asked for time to consult and make further submissions.
