FASHION designer, model and stylist Dylan “Saint Danger” Ngoshi yearns to reduce pollution by utilising dumped litter in making clothes. The 20-year-old told NewsDay Life & Style that he works with recyclable materials such as plastics, torn clothes and other materials that people throw away.

“I use plastic because I wish to reduce pollution. I go around picking up plastic materials then make dresses, trousers and shirts out of them. I presented these materials at the Standard Bank Luju Festival, my first international fashion show in Swaziland,” he said.Ngoshi advocates flexibility around fashion, challenging societal norms on men and women.

“My outfits are appropriate for any occasion if one feels comfortable in them. You can express yourself by first accepting who you are, what suits you and what mood you are in. I know people believe in society's rigid norms where we were taught since childhood what we can or cannot wear and that must change,” Ngoshi said.

Ngoshi added that his interest in fashion began from a tender age growing up in a family where his mother was a tailor, and his father a painter. In music, he collaborated with popular stars Nutty O, Bagga and Tha Bees.

Ngoshi showcased his unique upcycling brand Saint Academy, a runway debut which he said embodied transformation or change in Swaziland last year.He also designed a denim outfit that raised eyebrows on social media last year which he said was very personal to him.
