Socialite Collete “Mambo Ndimambo” Hodera is set to donate groceries to 50 families in Mufakose during his birthday celebrations this Sunday.
Mambo Ndimambo will partner with the JB Family initiative in the community outreach programme aimed at giving back to vulnerable families in the suburb where he grew up.
Popular for splashing cash and handing out mobile phones at music events, the socialite said this time he wanted to support families in a more meaningful and organised way.
“I love people, which is why you always see me giving out money and phones wherever I see gatherings. This time, I decided to do it in a more dignified way,” he said.
“This Sunday, together with my partners, JB Family, we are going to bless 50 families as part of my birthday celebrations. Families are going to smile.”
Mambo Ndimambo said he hopes to expand the initiative to other provinces in future, but chose to start in Mufakose because of his strong connection to the suburb.
“I grew up in Mufakose, so it was important for me to begin by giving back to my own community,” he said.
