Many people have been saved and healed by Apostle George Chikohwa

The association is a body of several Christian ministries that include Church on the Rock Ministries International, Voice of Healing World Evangelism and Glory to Glory Child Care Centre.

For 41 years, Apostle Chikohwa has ministered in Africa, Europe, North America and the Oceania, bringing salvation, restoration and hope to thousands through the great gospel of Jesus Christ.

While many Christian believers in Zimbabwe have fallen prey to the deceptions of prosperity theology, Apostle Chikohwa’s ministering is anchored on the true gospel of salvation.

“Prosperity gospel is fast replacing the true gospel of salvation in Zimbabwe and over the years Apostle Chikohwa’s teachings revolve around the true gospel of Jesus Christ,” said Church on the Rock Ministries International deacon Jacob Esau.

“What makes Apostle Chikokwa a cut above the rest is that he has great skill in nurturing our growth as Christians. His ministering is about nurturing our relationship with God and remember that every relationship needs cultivation if it is to stay healthy.”

A passionate and vibrant servant of God, philanthropist and educator, Apostle Chikohwa bears numerous life transformation testimonies.

“He has played an important role in the lives of many. Glory to Glory Child Care Centre in Norton, which he founded alongside his wife Rosewittar, has done so well in changing the lives of many. The centre, which is now home to about 40 orphans, has produced medical doctors and many other professionals,” Esau said.

Apostle Chikohwa developed into a renowned evangelist under the tutelage of Forward in Faith Ministries International Archbishop Ezekiel Guti before he founded the Church on the Rock Ministries International on February 14 1988.

“The church is growing from strength to strength, thanks to the wise teaching and guidance of Apostle Chikohwa. The church is now spread all over the country, especially in all towns and cities as well as in countries like South Africa, Botswana, Zambia, Botswana, Mozambique, New Zealand, Dubai and Saudi Arabia, among others,” said Pastor Theos Chikohwa.

He said the church was constructing an academic college at its Healing Centre in Gazaland, Highfield — a centre that serves as the church’s headquarters.

“We have church services in most parts of Harare, including Chitungwiza, Avenues, Avondale, Hillside, Ruwa, Vainona, Glen View, Domboshava, Eastview/Mabvuku and many other places,” Pastor Chikohwa said.

Next weekend the church will host a Royal Ladies Conference, which will be graced by female congregants from all over the world, before hosting the mother of all miracle services — an all-night prayer and healing crusade on September 29.

On Friday, Apostle Chikohwa and his wife, Rosewittar were honoured among a group of church leaders for the work they have done over the years.

The recognition was made possible by Ethiopis-Israel — a non-denominational network based in Ethiopia — in partnership with Evangelical Fellowship of Zimbabwe.

Apostle Chikohwa has written a number of books, including Dynamics of Faith and a biography titled Evangelist Dr George Chikohwa Biography, which is his testimony of God’s mighty power.

The Church on the Rock Ministries International celebrates 29 years of existence this year.
