After falling to Giants in the Bulawayo Basketball Association league last week, Kings will be hoping for a good performance when they take on Abundant Life Christian Centre (ALCC) at Nkulumane High School on Saturday.

Kings ruled the roost in the league before a lapse that saw Giants overtake them.

Giants top the log standing with 29 points in 15 points while Kings are a point behind from the same number of matches.

ALCC lie fifth on the log standings with 23 points in 16 matches. Kings handed ZB Titans a 94-31 defeat while ALCC beat Sentinels 54-23 last weekend. ALCC have to keep a close eye on Kelvin Mayengere, Craig Mathonisa, Tom Sikwila and Garth Hussey if they are to win the match.

Brandon Gonyora, Craig Mathonisa and Moses Tigere rate among the top players who may give Kings a torrid time.

In another match ZB Titans take on Stars. ZB Titans are fresh from a Kings defeat while they have a tough task as Stars are in a better position on the log.

Titans are second from the bottom in the eight men team log standings with 17 points in 15 matches while Stars are placed fourth with 23 points in 16 matches.

ZB Titans have in their books Chamu Mkhwanazi, Stanley Gumbo, Vuyisile Ndimande and Nhlanhla Mabiza while Stars will rely on Mthokozisi Sithole and King Mnkandla.

Sentinels are likely to find the going tough when they take on third placed Lords. They are languishing on bottom of the log standings and a defeat for them could spell more trouble as they have won one match in 15 games.

In the women’s category Hawks will square up against Stars. Hawks have won only one match in ten matches played while Stars have 13 points in 13 outings.
