DYNAMOS’ coach Genesis Mangombe’s credentials will come under scrutiny once again as the Glamour Boys hit the road to face Chicken Inn at Barbourfields Stadium this Saturday.

Following the energy-sapping defeat away to Simba Bhora a fortnight ago, underlining a dismal start to the season, things did not look good for Mangombe. However, the coach got respite after his side beat Highlanders to lift the Independence Trophy.

Dynamos defeated TelOne in Mangombe’s next assignment and his game against Chegutu Pirates was abandoned with the Glamour Boys leading 1-0 from a goal Chegutu said did not cross the line.

On Sunday, Dynamos played a 2-2  draw with champions Ngezi Platinum with reports suggesting that Mangombe’s job is safe, at least for now.

DeMbare currently sit on position 11 on the standings with 10 points after two wins and four draws. They have two defeats and await for the outcome of their abandoned match against Chegutu Pirates.

Under the guidance of Mangombe, Dynamos last year beat Chicken Inn 2-1 at the National Sports Stadium. In the reverse fixture, the Glamour Boys dismissed the Gamecocks 2-0 at BF. In that match, Hebert Maruwa was in charge and deputised by Mangombe.
