Murandu passed on early this week after succumbing to spinal complications.
The deceased’s brother, Rishon, said it was sad to lose a “beloved” family member and passionate actor, adding that the gap he left in his family and the film industry would be difficult to fill.
“It’s very sad that Austin is gone and the gap he left is so hard to fill,” he said.
Born in Seke, Goriza rose to fame in the arts industry in 2014 at the age of 70, proving that age was just a number.

His acting prowess also came to light in the music videos in which he was featured.
In Rishon’s Yarira Ngoma — a fusion of Mbende/Jerusalem and modern instruments — Goriza showed his rich artistic skills.
He also featured in the video, Pasaravende and the Goriza drama series, where he starred as Goriza alongside Jimmy Muderere and Rumbidzai Mapfumo, among others.
In the drama series, Goriza played with aplomb the role of a greedy family man, whose love for meat was insatiable. He was also part of the cast of Dead End, a Honde Valley TV Production aired on Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation Television last year.
Other productions in which he featured included Wisdom and Romance, Tsiurika 2 and the music video, Zadziso yaMulungute.
