FORMER ZiFM presenter Nonhlanhla Tutani, popularly known as Miss Vee Candy on the broadcasting scene, has collaborated with Nyla Thorbourne of the former Jamaican R‘n’B reggae fusion musical duo, Brick n Lace in a single titled Stand Up.

In an interview with NewsDay, Tutani said she was overwhelmed with the experience of working with such an internationally acclaimed artist.

“I am on cloud nine. I never thought I could ever collaborate with an artist of such international repute like Nyla,” she said.

Stand Up is part of Marc Mandisoul’s international collaborations and was produced by local Rehab Studios.

Coincidentally, Mandisoul was her co-presenter when they hosted a show called HeartBeat at ZiFM before they launched their production label called Entertainment Afrika.

It is not the first time Nyla has collaborated with a Zimbabwean artiste as she also collaborated with South Africa-based Buffalo Soldier on the track Born To Be Wild.

Brick n Lace was signed to Akon’s Konvict music and their debut album Love Is Wicked catapulted them to dizzy heights.

Some of the hit singles on the album include Never Never, Get That Clear, Bad to di Bone and the title track Love is Wicked.

Brick n Lace toured Zimbabwe in 2010 and put up a substandard show at the Borrowdale Race Course.

The duo, however, disbanded last year with the two sisters Nyanda and Nyla pursuing their own separate careers.
