A former projects manager for Destiny Afrika Network, Wilson Masokovere, has been arrested on allegations of theft of trust property, weeks after the High Court dismissed his bid to overturn an order barring him from the organisation's premises.
Masokovere was arrested alongside the organisation's former treasurer, Themba Sauramba, in connection with a case being investigated under ZRP Mutare Central CR 188/07/2026.
The pair faces two counts of theft of trust property involving a combined value of nearly US$2 million.
According to case details, the first count relates to alleged withdrawals totalling US$189,000 from Destiny Afrika Network's account, while the second count involves property valued at US$1.8 million.
The arrests came after the High Court dismissed Masokovere's rescission of judgment application, in which he sought to set aside a default order directing him to stay away from Destiny Afrika Network's offices in Mutare.
Masokovere had argued that the judgment was obtained through procedural irregularities, stealth and fraud, claiming he had not opposed the original application because the parties were engaged in settlement negotiations.

However, High Court judge Justice Joel Mambara dismissed the application with costs, ruling that the claims were unsupported by evidence.
"The explanation fails the test of reasonableness. The documents show that the applicant was already in default before negotiations commenced," Justice Mambara ruled.
The High Court order barred Masokovere from entering or approaching Destiny Afrika Network's business premises at Number 29, Fifth Avenue, Mutare, accessing the organisation's property or interfering with its staff in the execution of their duties.
Justice Mambara also noted that the interdict had been sought after Destiny Afrika Network alleged that Masokovere, who had been dismissed as projects manager, refused to vacate the organisation's offices.
Police investigations into the alleged theft of trust property are continuing.
