Construction of a bridge at Muvhundisi School in Ward 12 has gathered momentum after Chivi Central legislator Exevia Moses Maoneke donated building materials to support the community-driven project.

The bridge is expected to improve access to the school while making it easier for residents to transport agricultural produce and move livestock, especially during the rainy season when the crossing becomes difficult.

Maoneke said the project was a practical investment in the community's future.

"This bridge will ensure our children attend school safely while improving transport and business in Ward 12. Development begins with investing in our communities," he said.

Ward 12 councillor Tedfed Tizai said the bridge was a response to a long-standing challenge faced by schoolchildren and villagers during the rainy season.

"Schoolchildren have struggled to cross this point during the rainy season. We are working together to ensure the bridge is completed as quickly as possible for the benefit of our community," he said.
