Harare Metropolitan is hosting a two-day Investment and Business Conference aimed at attracting much needed capital to turn around the city’s fortunes. 

The conference, which started today, is being held at Heritage Village in Westlea under the theme: “Building Bridges: Accelerating Investment Towards the Attainment of Vision 2030. 

“This Conference comes at a critical juncture where we can unlock value across housing, infrastructure, and service delivery,” Harare Metropolitan Province minister of State, Charles Tawengwa, said in a statement. 

He said the event is expected to draw investors, policymakers, development partners, and business leaders from across Zimbabwe and beyond. 

“We are positioning Harare as a model for sustainable urbanisation in Africa and propelling Zimbabwe closer to the aspirations of Vision 2030,” he said 

Finance minister, Professor Mthuli Ncube, is the guest of honour.

“We extend an open invitation to potential investors, institutions, and development partners both locally and internationally,” Tawenga said. 

“Together, we can transform Harare into a vibrant, competitive metropolis and a gateway to national development.” 

The Conference is expected to catalyse meaningful partnerships and provide a platform for innovative ideas that will shape the future of Harare Metropolitan Province.
