HARARE, July 12 (NewsDay Live) – Zimbabwe's newest reality television programme, Brother In House Zimbabwe, will officially launch on Friday at a Harare hotel, with 33 contestants set to enter the purpose-built house for the three-month competition.
The launch marks the debut of a locally produced 24-hour reality television show that organisers say is designed to celebrate Zimbabwean talent, culture and diversity while expanding opportunities within the country's creative sector.
Selected from months of nationwide auditions, the 33 housemates will be unveiled to the public, media, sponsors and invited guests before making their official entry into the Brother In House Zimbabwe House, where they will live together throughout the competition.
Produced by Intelligent Excellence Recognition (IER), the programme will see contestants compete in a series of challenges testing leadership, teamwork, resilience and character. Housemates will also navigate alliances, personal relationships and weekly nominations, with viewers determining evictions through public voting.
Organisers said the programme had already generated considerable public interest following nationwide auditions, with audiences expressing growing anticipation for a Zimbabwean-produced reality television format.
"This is more than a television programme; it is a platform that celebrates Zimbabwean talent, resilience and creativity while giving ordinary people an extraordinary opportunity to share their stories with the nation," the organisers said.

The programme will be broadcast across digital platforms, allowing viewers to follow events around the clock while participating through interactive audience engagement and public voting.
Organisers said details on the competition format, broadcast schedule, voting procedures and sponsorship opportunities would be announced during Friday's launch.
Brother In House Zimbabwe is the latest entrant into Zimbabwe's growing entertainment industry, with organisers positioning it as a platform to develop local content and increase the visibility of Zimbabwean creative talent.
