RISING gospel artiste Ntokozo Ashley Sibanda is stepping boldly into a new season of her music career with the release of her heartfelt new single, The Best Part of Me, a song born out of faith, personal testimony and an unwavering belief in God's power to transform lives.

The 24-year-old Bulawayo-born musician is not merely adding another song to her catalogue.

Instead, she is sharing a deeply personal message that reflects her journey through life's darkest moments and the divine grace that carried her through them.

For Sibanda, gospel music is more than entertainment it is a calling that demands spiritual commitment.

"There's a certain pressure you feel in your spirit when you sing gospel music. You know you have to do it because it's bigger than you," she told NewsDay Life & Style.

That profound sense of responsibility shaped every aspect of the single.

According to Sibanda, gospel music should never be created merely for the purpose of recording a song.

"What you share with people through your lyrics must come from a genuine place within. As a gospel musician, you need to pray over your songs so they carry spiritual impact, inspire listeners and transform lives," she said.

She emphasised that gospel music should be rooted in sincere faith, prayer and a desire to positively influence others, rather than simply producing music for commercial or artistic purposes.

Behind the uplifting melody lies a powerful testimony. Sibanda recalls moments when she felt abandoned times when people had written her off and believed her story had reached its final chapter.

Yet, when hope seemed lost, God intervened and changed everything.

"I've been in situations where no one came through for me. People thought it was the end of my story, but God came through and rewrote it," she said.

This testimony forms the heartbeat of the single.

Through the song, Sibanda hopes listeners who are struggling with disappointment, rejection, or uncertainty will find renewed hope and discover that their circumstances do not have the final say.

"When people listen to this song, I want them to realise that it is never too late to try Jesus. I pray that God comes through for them in whatever situation they are facing," she added.
