FROM nearly empty dance floors to electrifying packed stadiums, DJ Sbago — born Prudence Kamoyo — did not choose music; it chose him.

Driven by a deep love for sound and the joy of making people happy, he stepped into the DJ booth with a clear mission: to move not just feet, but souls.

“Inspired by legends such as Oskido and X-mo Squad, I gained the ability to read a crowd like a story unfolding in real time,” he said.

For DJ Sbago, deejaying goes beyond pressing play. It is about connection, energy, timing and the unspoken bond between the DJ and the audience.

Renowned for his signature house sound, he blends crowd favourites with fresh, unheard tracks, striking a seamless balance between familiarity and surprise. Rather than following trends, he introduces them, weaving new sounds into his sets so effortlessly that audiences embrace them instantly.

His journey has taken him to standout platforms such as Kalawa Homecoming and Garden of House, where he has delivered memorable performances. Yet, some of his most meaningful moments come from giving back to the community — where the reward lies not in money, but in impact.

Behind the decks, DJ Sbago remains grounded.

“There are moments when music transcends personal ambition, when you play not for yourself, but to give back to the community that shaped you,” he

said.

Like many in the entertainment industry, he understands the struggle — the hunger for recognition and the quiet frustration of knowing your talent deserves more. Still, he is guided by purpose rather than fame.

Looking ahead, DJ Sbago envisions expanding his influence through mentorship, nurturing emerging talent and possibly establishing a DJ school. For him, legacy matters more than limelight.

"My dream is a future where every DJ I have mentored and every talent I have shaped carries a piece of my vision."

Legends are remembered for their impact, not just their hits — and DJ Sbago is building one that will endure long after the music fades.
