THE Creative Showcase 2024 at the National Gallery of Zimbabwe in Bulawayo this Friday will witness performances by an array of artistes from the City of Kings.

The event, which is being sponsored by the United States embassy and British Council, will see various Bulawayo artistes entertain fans with music and poetry for free during the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair week.

Artistes to grace the event include multi-talented creative Lady Tshawe born Nomashawekazi Damasane, who was recently appointed the city's arts, culture and heritage officer.

She will be performing alongside artistes like Msiz’kay, real name Sizalobuhle Nkomo, a rapper, producer, singer,  songwriter and poet who fuses various traditional African music elements with hip-hop and R&B to come up with a unique sound and deep lyrics designed to appeal to people from all walks of life.

Ethno-soul diva Thandy Dhlana is also lined up to grace the event with poets Sonkomose, Zarae and Luminous also set to perform.

Award-winning rapper Indigo Saint of the popular Blunt EP — which addresses issues of depression, mental health and suicidal thoughts among young people — will also entertain people at the event with contemporary gospel musician Nokufeza Vuyolethu Ngwenya, also known as Vuyo Brown, among artistes to perform
