England-based star Trevor Mutero flew into the country on Sunday, ahead of the Young Warriors preparations for the Zone XI All-Africa Games qualifier.
The Under-23 squad, set to clash with neighbours Botswana in Gaborone on Saturday in the first round of the qualifiers, are expected to troop into camp on Wednesday.
Young Warriors technical team said they will make very few changes to the team that beat Zambia in the preliminary round of the Games and one of the changes is that of highly rated Reading winger Mutero who will join an already star-studded team.
Mutero, alongside Jomo Cosmos forward Mathew Rusike are only two foreign-based players expected in camp.
The 18-year-old Mutero, who plays for championship-side Reading reserve team, is coming into the country for the first time since he left for Europe in 2004. He said he cannot wait to don the Zimbabwe national team colours.
“Yes, I’m just excited really to represent my country and just looking forward to the first game in the national team,” Mutero told NewsDay Sport.

The Masvingo-born winger, who said he was also comfortable playing as a striker had been receiving rave reviews in England with pundits comparing him to legendary Warriors skipper Peter Ndlovu.
