The annual Carling Black Label National Pool Tournament has expanded its regional qualifiers to a record 31 regions across Zimbabwe, concluding its preliminary rounds on 27 June 2026.
Organised by Delta Beverages, the expansion drove unprecedented player turnout and provided a significant economic boost to the local communities hosting the games.
The 2026 edition saw a notable surge in both overall participation and competitive skill, with organisers praising the heightened discipline and professionalism displayed by players.
Beyond sports development, the high-turnout events served as vital economic catalysts.
Increased foot traffic at tournament outlets directly benefited suburban traders and local hospitality businesses through heightened commercial activity.
Additionally, the qualifiers recorded a steady year-on-year increase in female players, marking a major milestone for the brand's ongoing diversity and inclusivity initiatives.

"The growth in participation and the elevated level of play reflect the passion and commitment from players across the country," said Kundayi Mawema, Marketing Manager for Delta’s Lagers Business Unit, who commended all participants for contributing to the tournament's success.
Looking ahead, Delta Beverages confirmed plans to deepen its long-term investment in Zimbabwean pool.
The beverage giant aims to sustain this momentum through structured support for localised bar tournaments, ongoing grassroots activations, and strategic partnerships with informal traders, all designed to scout local talent and provide a platform for players to showcase their skills on larger stages.
As the driving force behind the tournament, Delta Corporation remains Zimbabwe's leading beverage business and an associate of AB InBev, the world’s largest beer company.
Employing over 5,000 people, the group operates a massive nationwide distribution network and manages an extensive portfolio that includes Carling Black Label, Castle, Chibuku, and licensed Coca-Cola products.
