THE Zimbabwe Women's senior national football team, the Mighty Warriors, are stepping up its preparations for a revised three-nation tournament scheduled to take place in Lilongwe, Malawi, from November 29 to December 2.

The tournament will be held at the Bingu National Stadium.

”The tournament will now feature hosts Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe. The change follows adjustments to the initial tournament format communicated by the organisers,” Zifa said yesterday.

Despite the change in the line-up, which saw South Africa drop out, the Mighty Warriors' focus remains unwavering.

Head coach Sithethelelwe Sibanda and her technical team are currently working with a youthful 30-member provisional squad in Harare.

“The Mighty Warriors remain fully focused on their preparations and are looking forward to competing strongly against two of the region's top sides,” Zifa said.
