NEWLY-PROMOTED Castle Lager Premier Soccer League side Green Fuel have roped in former Highlanders assistant coach Bhekithemba Ndlovu as one of the assistants to head coach Lloyd Mutasa.
According to sources in Chisumbanje, the deal was agreed this week and the former Warriors left-back is expected to start training with the new side next year on January 5.
Ndlovu’s arrival at the club will strengthen the backroom staff, which already has Joseph “Shabba” Takaringofa as well as former Dynamos, Black Aces and Caps United midfielder Albert “Dhalala” Mabika as assistant coaches.
The newly-minted Premiership outfit adjourned their pre-season training this week and is expected to resume at the start of the new year.
Reports from Chisumbanje also indicate the ambitious newcomers are also strengthening their squad and have gone beyond the country’s borders to acquire an unnamed striker from Cameroon and a defensive midfielder from Ivory Coast.
It is not clear whether Mutasa will continue to add more new players or he will stick to those that did duty in Division 1.

He had in his ranks such players as Cleopas Kapupurika, Leroy Murape, Tendai Nyamadzawo, Ishmael Lawe, Livingstone Genti and former Dynamos captain Obey Mwerahari, among other players with topflight experience.
Mutasa, a former Dynamos player and coach, was in charge of the Premiership newboys in Division 1 last season and helped them secure promotion into the top league, finishing 12 points clear of second-placed Mutare City Rovers.
The experience is not new to Mutasa, who has previously guided Kiglon Stars into the Premiership in 2007 and Highway the following year.
This is the first time Chisumbanje will have a team in the Premier League team.
The team is bankrolled by ethanol producer, Green Fuel.
Other promoted sides are Hwange FC, Sheasham and Simba Bhora, who will also be looking to leave a mark in the topflight league.
