The curtain finally came down on the 27th edition of the Copa Coca-Cola 2015 finals held in Bulawayo’s Barbourfields Stadium on Sunday with Dewure High School from Masvingo Under-16 Boys crowned the winners after beating Rujeko High of Mashonaland Central 4-3 after a penalty shoot-out.

The first games were held in Bulawayo in 1989.

Dewure walked away with a trophy and $6 500 cheque while Rujeko got $5 000 for being the runners-up. The pulsating match had ended in a 3-3 deadlock in regulation time.

Chidyamakono Secondary School of Masvingo were the winners in the girls final against St Francis and St Clare High School of Mashonaland Central.

Twenty-four schools participated in the tournament and next year’s finals will be held in Matebeleland South.
