ZAPU vice-president Emilia Mukaratirwa says the party has nothing material to offer the electorate to entice them, but pledged that once they assumed power, they would bring the country to its former glory. Report By Blondie Ndebele, Own correspondent

Addressing party supporters at a district meeting in Mbizo, Gwanda South, on Saturday, Mukaratirwa said they could not give the party supporters any material benefits now in appreciation of their support, but promised a better future for all citizens.

“We don’t have maize, food, money or fertilisers to offer, but we are here with the word of mouth.

“We don’t want to give you something temporary, but we promise to take over the country and bring back the once breadbasket of Africa status,” she said.
