SELF-MOTIVATED speaker and author, Carol Shereni (pictured) has published her second book titled Rise Above It, where she encourages women to rise above self-limitations to achieve their fortunes.

In the book, Shereni intertwines her personal battles with those of Biblical characters that overcame self-limiting beliefs, as she draws from personal experience and a wealth of wisdom to discuss the importance of letting go of self-limiting attitudes such as low self-esteem, insecurity, inadequacy, inferiority and rejection in order to fulfil individual purpose.
Speaking to NewsDay, Shereni said she is inspired to write to help women out of suppression from various self-limiting factors in life, as a former victim.
“The main message in my book is empowerment and through my works I have that voice to inspire and when I wrote this book I had different types of women in mind, from one in an abusive and insecure marriage to a prostitute wallowing in self-pity,” she said.
“I wrote this book with hope to encourage most women who suffer from destiny assassins, which include low self-esteem, inadequacy and insecurity to rise above their limitations and realise that they can overcome anything that fights against their destiny.”

Shereni, who is inspired by Myles Munroe and John Maxwell, said she believes her latest book will awaken many women’s inner tenacity and empower them to fulfil their fortunes, as someone with a passion to see lives transformed by the God.
