Mudzvova is expected to depart for the UK this week for the programme, that is under the University of Manchester’s Department of Arts, Languages and Culture and is focusing on issues related to the safety of artists.

The artist said he was happy to be part of the fellowship, which presents him with an international platform to meet with new players in his efforts to grow his career.

“I believe this fellowship programme will enhance my creativity in theatre and filmmaking, as I will be working with well-known theatre practitioners and there will be resources at my disposal,” Mudzvova said.

“This is an important programme that provides artistes with the much-needed exposure to resources, while at the same time providing a networking platform that is important in marketing African art.”
