The equipment, which consists of an excavator and a bulldozer, was commissioned on Monday by acting vice-chancellor, Victor Muzvidziwa.

Muzvidziwa said the equipment will enhance the university’s infrastructure development and also cut construction costs. “We hope that this investment will significantly reduce infrastructure development costs, as we strive to provide world class facilities,” he said.

Acting Sodew Investments chief executive, Tendai Chigwaza said the equipment will also be used for construction projects at various MSU campuses.

“The equipment has come at a time when the university is still expanding and construction of infrastructure is a priority,” he said.
