Andrew Ngondoma was sentenced on his own plea to the charge when he appeared before Concession magistrate Ruth Mkyo.
According to prosecutor Thembikosi Mananga on July 10, at Roanflats A Compound, Ngondoma had a misunderstanding with his wife, Ndaizivei Chaboma (26), over infidelity allegations.
Chaboma ordered her husband to pack his belongings and leave her bedroom.
Ngondoma instead set alight his wife’s bedroom hut, destroying household goods worth $509.
