Education minister David Coltart has expressed dissatisfaction at the slow pace at which the curriculum review programme is moving.

“I am greatly unsatisfied with the progress of the curriculum review programme, the progress is not as I had anticipated, I am displeased that the proceedings are disappointing,” he said.

Coltart told NewsDay on Friday he recently met the deputy director for the Curriculum Development Unit (CDU), Roger Mtembo and a local education expert based in the United States, Josiah Tlou, to discuss the project.

“We are yet to finalise our deliberations,” he said.

“The Ministry of Education, Sport, Arts and Culture is staging a comprehensive five-year plan and we intend to put this plan to Cabinet in August and the curriculum review will be a key component of this plan,” he said.
