A Bulawayo man yesterday died instantly after he reportedly threw himself from the sixth floor of the National Social Security Authority building in a suspected suicide case.
The incident occurred at around 3pm yesterday at the corner of Main Street and Leopold Takawira Avenue.
The middle-aged man is believed to have been a civil servant.
Police, who were attending to the scene of incident late in the afternoon, said they were still investigating circumstances leading to the tragedy.
Security personnel at the building said after searching the man’s bag, they discovered that he had a rope with him.
Witnesses said there was a loud noise as the man’s body hit the concrete floor inside the building’s car park.
