Houses of Parliament the House of Assembly and Senate resume today after adjourning in December last year for two months.

Parliament adjourned during the Christmas break when both Houses and committee business was halted to give MPs a chance to go for holidays.

Matters that were before Parliament when it adjourned included a motion to oust Clerk of Parliament Austin Zvoma, a debate later stopped by the High Court, a motion to disband the Broadcasting Authority of Zimbabwe and a motion on unconstitutional statements by service chiefs, amongst others.
