However, Bishi denied the assault charge when he appeared before provincial magistrate Letwin Rwodzi.

It is the State case that on July 9 this year, Bishi punched Chipo Mugwanda in the chest forcing her to fall over another teacher who was standing behind her as the school staff confronted the SDA members demanding payment of their outstanding incentives.

The teachers claimed that they last received their $170 monthly incentives in January this year, amid allegations of misappropriation of funds by the SDA members.

Bishi, who is represented by Kwekwe lawyer Innocent Hore, is currently on $50 and he was remanded to August 26 for trial.
