The child, who was run over by a commuter omnibus that was fleeing from police on Tuesday afternoon, died this morning.
The child, seen here in the picture being carried into an ambulance yesterday, becomes the latest victim of the confrontation between traffic police and commuter omnibus crews.
Contrary to initial witness reports that the commuter omnibus driver stopped at the scene of accident, it has been established that both the police officersand driver fled the scene as angry members of the public wanted to institute instant justice on them.
