A 27-YEAR-OLD Mutare man, Shakespeare Ziko, appeared before Mutare magistrate Langton Mukwengi last Friday facing charges of illegal possession of dagga after he was found with 22 drug-laced cakes.

The court heard that on November 6 this year, police detectives recovered 3,5 grammes of dagga from Ziko’s pockets after they cornered him at Hob House in the city.
Police later raided his house and recovered 22 pieces of dagga cakes made out of residue from the drug.
Ziko pleaded guilty to two charges of illegal possession of dagga and was remanded to today for sentence.
