KARIBA, Aug. 14 (NewsDay Live) - The police have released the names of 44 people confirmed dead in the Rural Infrastructure Development Agency (RIDA) boat accident on Lake Kariba on August 11.
The victims were identified by their next of kin, according to police.

In a statement, police Commissioner Paul Nyathi said identification of the remaining recovered bodies was still in progress.
“The Police continues to work closely with relevant stakeholders and the affected families in the identification and recovery process. The Police will release further information as and when new developments arise,” Nyathi said.
The ZRP Sub-Aqua Unit is continuing investigations into the cause of the accident.
