HARARE, Jul 22 (NewsDay Live) - The Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority (ZimParks) has opened the Victoria Falls Rainforest to the public following a temporary blockade caused by elephant sightings at the resort.
In a statement, ZimParks said the elephants were safely removed from the park on Monday.
"ZimParks wishes to inform members of the public, tourism stakeholders and all visitors that the Victoria Falls Rainforest has reopened following a temporary closure undertaken as a precautionary safety measure after elephants entered the Rainforest area.
"....teams closely monitored the animals' movements and safely guided them out of the UNESCO World Heritage Site," said the wildlife management authority.
