BULAWAYO, Apr. 21 (NewsDay Live) – The Concord for Young Women in Business is leveraging the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) 2026 to expand its footprint and secure strategic partnerships.

The organisation, which is exhibiting at the trade fair, says participation is boosting its visibility and opening avenues for collaboration, innovation and women’s economic empowerment.

Held under the theme “Connected Economies, Competitive Industries,” this year’s ZITF has drawn exhibitors from across the region and beyond, providing a platform for engagement with potential partners.

Speaking at the fair on Tuesday, representative Nomsah Bathabile Mbende said the exhibition marks a key growth milestone.

“ZITF 2026 gives us access to partners locally, regionally and internationally. It’s more than an exhibition—it’s a platform to position ourselves within a broader economic network,” she said.

Founded to empower women entrepreneurs, the organisation offers free training in areas such as ICT and goat rearing to support sustainable livelihoods.

Mbende said the exposure is critical to advancing its mission.

“Our goal is to ensure women, regardless of background, can access opportunities. Ultimately, empowerment starts with the individual,” she said.

As ZITF draws a diverse mix of industry players, the organisation is using the platform to build partnerships that extend beyond the exhibition floor.
