Zanu PF Matabeleland South chairperson Rabelani Choeni has died from suspected Covid-19 complications.

Choeni died at his home in Malusungane, Beitbridge West, where he was in isolation with his driver after they both tested positive to Covid-19.

Beitbridge East Member of Parliament Albert Nguluvhe yesterday confirmed Choeni’s death.

“Zanu PF has lost a giant. He passed on at his rural home,” Nguluvhe said.

A close ally of former vice-president Kembo Mohadi, Choeni was a veteran of the armed struggle from the Zimbabwe African People’s Revolutionary Army led by the late vice-president Joshua Nkomo.
