AWARD-WINNING dance choreographer John Cole has roped in Ghanaian reggae artiste Theophilus “Epixode” Otoo and South Africa-based Zimbabwean songbird, Ashleigh “Shashl” Moyo on a new music project.

The trio is currently working on a single titled Body Abduction, which will be released next month to commemorate Cole’s 12 years in the dance industry.

Cole told NewsDay Life & Style yesterday that the single was a celebration of his work.

“I am celebrating an awesome 12 years in the dance and music industry and the phenomenal John Cole is here with another hit! It’s a literal musical abduction set to make bodies move across dance floors around the world,” he said.

Cole said he was happy that he was now recognised as an award-winning dance choreographer and was on his way to becoming a recording artiste.

The entertainer said his career, which he described as an adventure, has always been a path to bigger things.

“My career has been rightfully on the path to bigger things, and very amazing. I love every experience that I have been getting and support from people from as far as the United Kingdom and South Africa…. I am here to stay,” he said.

The dancer said he had always desired to work with Epixode who he met at the Harare International Carnival a few years ago.

“He put up the best performance, we clicked, and since he is the best artiste in Ghana, I thought he could be the best person to work with on the song, Body Abduction, which I have tried to do with several artistes from Zimbabwe, but they just didn’t understand the concept,” he said.

Cole said the song will be distributed through Zimbabwean music platform OYOS Music to gain sales.

He promised a few more international collaborations that he said will put his name on the global map.
