Zimbabwe’s representative in the Big Brother Amplified (BBA) house, Vimbai Mutinhiri survived the first eviction as Jossy (Namibia) became the first housemate to leave the BBA house.

Vimbai did not know that she was up for eviction after head of house Zeus from Botswana had nominated her.

Zeus took some time to explain his reasoning for nominating Vimbai and said that he felt she was better equipped to make it in the outside world.

Vimbai smiled after hearing she was up for eviction, but when the reality that she could leave the house struck her, she could not help but burst into tears.

Confidence, Danny, Vina and Weza were also up for possible eviction.

BBA host IK called the nominated housemates to the BBA stage and told the four housemates with the highest votes to stand up.

Weza proved popular as she was on 24% with six country votes (Angola, Tanzania, Zambia, South Africa, Malawi, and Botswana). Vina had 20% with three country votes (Nigeria, Rest of Africa and Uganda). Vimbai was on 17% with three country votes from Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Kenya.

There was a three-way tie for last place with Confidence, Danny and Jossy receiving one country vote each.

The tie-breaker mechanism was used and Confidence was whisked back into the house as she had a higher percentage (18%) as compared to Danny (11%) and Jossy (9%).

Danny who received the second least number of votes was lucky as he was given another chance by Big Brother to redeem himself as he was sent to the Tails house.

Lotus (Tanzania) ran and jumped on Danny, as he walked into the Tails house after his eviction from the Heads house.

His entrance into the Tails house shocked the Tails residents as they kept asking him how he got to their house.

He explained that he had been nominated and faced eviction.

“I am not sure if Jossy has been sent home or not as we were together on the stage. The other four have been sent back to the house but I don’t know about Jossy,” said Danny.

When Danny discovered that there had been no nominations in the Tails house he was surprised but he was briefed on what was going on in the house while he also shared with them events in the Heads house.

The good news for Zimbabwe is that both representatives, Vimbai and Wendell Parson are safe from eviction this week as the house they reside in, the Heads house will not be nominating.

The Tails house will have nominations.
