AS the world grapples with wars, moral decay, false teachings and an increasing obsession with wealth, a gospel musician from Bulawayo has stepped into the spotlight with a powerful message he believes society desperately needs to hear.

Tusyome Ndlovu has released a thought-provoking single titled Nyika Yaya Kumamanino, meaning “The earth is about to end”, a spiritually charged track that is already resonating with listeners through its bold warning about the signs of the times and the need for people to reconnect with God.

Released after months of meticulous production, the song is more than just a musical offering; it is a wake-up call inspired by the realities unfolding across the globe and within modern Christianity.

“I was looking at the way people are living nowadays and the things that are happening in the world and Christianity,” Ndlovu said.

The journey to bringing the song to life was anything but quick.

The artiste revealed that work on the project began in 2025 and stretched into this year as he carefully crafted every verse to ensure that the message remained relevant and impactful.

“It took long because I wanted every part of the song to carry a meaningful message.

“I wanted each verse to connect with what is happening in the world today.”

The biggest hurdle, he said, was arranging the stanzas in a way that would effectively communicate the song’s central theme while remaining faithful to the title.

Far from being a message of fear, Nyika Yaya Kumamanino seeks to encourage spiritual awareness.

Ndlovu believes that many of the events taking place around the world today mirror biblical prophecies concerning the end times and the anticipated return of the Messiah.

“The title is there to alert people that what is happening today shows the fulfilment of scripture and points towards the coming of the Messiah,” she said.

The song tackles issues threatening the spiritual wellbeing of society, including the rise of false prophets and the growing tendency for people to prioritise wealth over faith.

Listeners, Ndlovu says, have responded positively to the song’s message, embracing its call to reject deception, remain righteous and stay grounded in God’s word despite the challenges of modern life.

At its core, the single is built on four pillars; hope, faith, perseverance and courage, values which the artist believes are essential for navigating uncertain times.

Through well-crafted lyrics and a message rooted in scripture, Nyika Yaya Kumamanino challenges listeners to look beyond worldly distractions and focus on their spiritual journey.

As the song continues to gain attention, the Entumbane-based musician hopes its message will inspire people to strengthen their relationship with God and remain steadfast in their faith.

“I encourage people to stay connected to God and not be influenced by the things of the world,” she said.

With its timely message and uncompromising spiritual conviction, Nyika Yaya Kumamanino is proving that gospel music can do more than entertain, it can challenge, inspire and spark meaningful reflection about the direction of society and the future of humanity.
