The Apostolic Faith Mission (AFM) in Zimbabwe will host its National Youth Elevation Conference from April 9 to 12 at Rufaro Conference Centre, bringing together thousands of young people for four days of worship, teaching and leadership development.
AFM National Youth Secretary Reverend Robson Matewe said the annual gathering aims to drive spiritual renewal while equipping youths for leadership in both ministry and society.
“It is a platform where faith meets purpose,” Matewe said, adding that delegates are expected from across Zimbabwe and neighbouring countries.
The conference, to be held in Chatsworth near Masvingo, will feature main sessions led by AFM President Amon D. Madawo, alongside South African preacher Thandanani Savhasa and other senior ministers. Teachings will focus on spiritual growth, ethical leadership and practical empowerment.
A strong musical line-up is also expected, highlighting the church’s role in nurturing talent within Zimbabwe’s gospel industry. Performers include Zimpraise Choir, marking a milestone anniversary, as well as Takesure Zamar, Joyfull Praise Choir and South African worship leader Sbu Noah.
Other artists set to perform include Unveiled, Worshipper L Gunda, Nyasha Mutonhori, Baba and Mai Cherai, Vabati Vajehova and Wesley Nyamukuta, among others.

Matewe said the programme balances preaching and worship, addressing issues such as identity, discipline and innovation, while also providing a platform for emerging artists to gain exposure and mentorship.
Beyond spiritual activities, delegates will support the construction of a clinic at Rufaro Conference Centre, a project aimed at improving healthcare access in the area.
“This is faith in action,” Matewe said, emphasising the importance of collective giving and social responsibility.
The conference will also feature sessions on entrepreneurship, education and leadership development, reflecting AFM’s broader vision of empowering young people for national development.
Organisers say the event remains a cornerstone of the church’s youth ministry, blending spiritual formation with practical skills in a rapidly changing world.
