BULAWAYO Eats, the city’s leading food delivery platform, will host its first-ever awards ceremony on November 22 at Kings Kraal.
The event aims to celebrate excellence in the local food and hospitality industry, bringing together chefs, restaurants and food businesses in a night of recognition and networking.
Bulawayo Eats project manager Sibusiso Mhlanga said the awards were created to honour the hard work and creativity that fuelled the city’s food scene.
“The Bulawayo Eats Awards are more than just recognition,” Mhlanga said.
“They are a celebration of the talent and resilience of our city’s food and hospitality sector.”
She said with more than 50 restaurant partners and over 7 000 active users on the platform, Bulawayo Eats had become a vital link between food businesses and customers.

Mhlanga noted that the awards are a natural extension of this role, providing a platform to celebrate those who make a daily impact through food.
She also said the event would be more than just a ceremony.
"It is expected to serve as a networking platform for food professionals, entrepreneurs and industry leaders, while also giving sponsors a chance to connect directly with Bulawayo’s food-loving community.”
Mhlanga said the event would honour excellence across a range of categories including Restaurant of the Year, Chef of the Year, Best Traditional Cuisine and Best Braai Spot, among others.
“We want to give both customers and vendors a chance to celebrate their favourites,” she added, encouraging the public to visit their official website to submit nominations.
The project manager said more information about the event, including entertainment and special guests, would be shared in the coming weeks.
Guests can expect a luxurious evening featuring culinary showcases, live entertainment and a celebration of the city’s diverse food culture.
