Commenting from his Zambian base, Mukumba said he was thrilled by what the club had achieved.

“I have always been a Dynamos supporter growing up and I await results for every game the team plays,” he said.

“It really is an honour for me to sing about the team. Everywhere in the world people do extreme things for the teams they love and this is what I have managed to do this year.

“Arts and sports are the biggest movements in any society. They are better than politics and I really feel great to have merged music and soccer.”

On the song, he features David Fangas real name David Kwapata, formerly a backing vocalist for zora musician Leonard Karikoga Zhakata.

A construction contractor in Lusaka, Mukumba started off his musical in 2001 working with many local urban groovers before going to Zambia.

He is due to release his debut album titled Amai.

The album will carry tracks like the title track Amai, DeMbare, Shungu Newe featuring Diana, Nhai Mudiwa featuring Queen V and the late Nyamhonde, Varoi, Mi Love, Tezvara and Rudo.

According to Mukumba, the single DeMbare was initially scheduled to be released before the end of the soccer season to boost the title campaign.

“I failed to travel so as to communicate with the responsible authorities at the team and so I decided to wait, but now that we (Dynamos) have won the league there is no point in waiting,” said Mukumba.

“I will be coming to Harare soon and will see if I can talk to the officials at the club, but I am already satisfied with what I have managed to do.”
